every ai agent. one terminal dashboard.

stop herding agents.
start conducting.

Maestro spawns and monitors multiple AI coding agents on the same project — live status, real costs, conflict-free worktrees — from one TUI dashboard.

features

six things it does, plainly

quickstart

from install to first session

maestro init # interactive maestro.toml setup
maestro init --non-interactive # headless GitHub defaults
maestro doctor # verify gh/az/agent CLI/git
maestro run --prompt "Refactor the auth module to async" # ad-hoc session
maestro run --issue 42 # session for a GitHub issue
maestro run --milestone "v1.0" # all open issues in a milestone
maestro # open the TUI dashboard

honest boundaries

three things it will not pretend to be

not autonomous by default.

Sessions stop at your configured gates and the PR waits for your review. Continuous mode and auto-merge exist, but both are opt-in.

not a ci replacement.

No hosted runners, no yaml pipelines. It is a local TUI driving real agent CLIs on your machine, in your terminal.

not a prompt wrapper.

A real state machine, one git worktree per session, a file-claim registry against edit collisions, and cost tracking per session.
